# Instances

> An Instance is a running copy of a Workflow, with its own data.

An **Instance** is one running copy of a Workflow.

Each Instance has its own Chat, Secrets, Memory, State, Connections, and People. Instance A cannot see Instance B. The Workflow author cannot see a customer's Secrets or Memory.
