# Settings

> Key/value values this Workflow expects on the Instance.

**Settings** are keys the Workflow author declared. Fill the value for this Instance, or bind a Secret.

Keys accept letters, numbers, dot, underscore, and hyphen. These are not the same as Secrets in the vault until you bind one.
